SmartPlant Master Tag Registry is delivered with three default roles: RegisterView, RegisterCreator, and RegisterAdministrator.

The role assignment links a user to a role in a given configuration.

Any user who will publish tags from the MTRAuthoring domain to the MTRPublishing
domain and generate a tag register must be assigned with the SmartPlantPublisher and
SmartPlantRetreiver roles delivered with SmartPlant Foundation. To assign roles, log
on to the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client as a SmartPlant Foundation administrator
and use the Configuration Role Assignment command. For more information about roles assignment for publishing data, see How to Configure the Security Model.
