Modify the PBS information - SmartPlant Foundation - IM Update 48 - Help - Hexagon

The Plant Breakdown Structure defines the area, unit, project, and vault information for SPO/E Core. To make any modifications to these, you must manually modify the DATA_SPO.xlsm file.

We recommend that you create a backup copy of the original spreadsheets before making any modifications to them.

Create or modify areas or units

1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of DATA_SPO.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

2. Provide the area or unit information on the PBS sheet.

3. Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet by renaming it as DATA_SPO_PBS.xlsm.

Create or modify plant systems

1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of DATA_SPO.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

2. Provide the plant system information on the System sheet.

   For example, DATA_SPO.xlsm for PBS business package:

   

3. Provide the area or unit information on the PBS sheet.

Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet by renaming it as DATA_SPO_PBS.xlsm.

Create or modify projects

1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of DATA_SPO.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

2. Provide the project information on the Project sheet.

   For example:

   

Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet by renaming it as DATA_SPO_PBS.xlsm.

You can follow a similar procedure for vaults, schedulers, mappings and so on.

Modify the Plant References (Mandatory)

You must modify the plant references to point to the new plant. The mandatory changes are listed below.

• Make the following modifications to the PBS sheet in the DATA_SPO.xlsm file:

  Section	Columns to be modified	Description
  SPFPlant	Name	Name of the new plant
  SmartPlantArea	Name, UID, Config, Plant(Rel)	SmartPlantArea data (Name, UID, Config, Plant(Rel)) associated with the new plant
  SmartPlantUnit	Name, Unit Code, UID, Config, Area(Rel)	SmartPlantUnit data (Name, Unit Code, UID, Config, Area(Rel)) associated with the new plant

• Make the following modifications to the System sheet in the DATA_SPO_PBS.xlsm file:

  SPXSystemPBSDATA	Name, SPFPlantSystem(Rel), UID	SPXSystemPBSDATA data (Name, SPFPlantSystem(Rel), UID) associated with the new plant
