  1. Under SPMapClassDef in the tree view, find and right-click the new map class, in this example IAcmeAuthoredItem.

  2. Click the Edit command for the object.

SHARED Tip The command name includes the name of the object, so in this example, the command is named Edit IAcmeAuthoredItem.

  3. In the Edit Map Class Definition dialog box, go to the Publish tab.

  4. In the Unmapped application properties section, select the new property you created in the authoring schema. In this example, that property was named AuthoredAcmeStatus.

  5. In the Unmapped SmartPlant properties section, select the new property that you created in the publish schema. In this example, that property was named PublishedAcmeStatus.

  6. Click Map Map BTN.

SHARED Tip To confirm that the mapping relationship was created successfully, scroll through the properties in the lower section of the dialog box and find your two new properties listed on the same line.

  7. Click OK.

  8. To validate the schema changes, click Tools > Tool Schema > Validate > DisplayResults, and review the results.

You can safely ignore "UnSetProperty" warnings involving CreateDate, DomainUID, LastUpdatedDate, OBID, or TerminationDate.

  9. Click File > Save > Tool Schema File to save the new relationships to the tool map file.

  10. Exit the SmartPlant Schema Editor without saving the session file.

  11. In SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client, check in the adapter document.
