You can configure a property definition scope as a URL type and build variables into the URL. The variables reference data values directly on the object and reference data values on related objects. The URL property definition value is a navigable link, which launches a URL from the detail forms, the properties grid, and the list views in the Desktop Client, as well as from the list views in Business Intelligence. The URL property definition also supports environment variables.
