Right-click the document you want to check in, and click Edit > Check In (Secure).

In the Validate dialog box, type the purpose for checking in the document in the Purpose box.

Type the password in the Password box, and click Save.

In the Check In dialog box, select the document to check in.

Click OK. The document is checked in, and the purpose for checking in the document is saved and is displayed under the ISPXIntentionOfChange section in the Properties window.
