Problem

An FTR search on a large data set results in an error stating “the Search criteria is too generic".

Solution

The problem may be solved by increasing the amount of memory dedicated to the search.

1. Navigate to the [drive]:\Program Files (x86)\SmartPlant\Foundation\SPFFTRService folder.

2. Open the web.config file.

3. Search the SearchMemorySize key.

4. Increase the search memory size value. The default value for SearchMemorySize is 102400 KB. For example, increase the search memory size to 204800 KB, if such amount is available.
