PDF file conversion does not generate the expected output - SmartPlant Foundation - IM Update 48 - Help - Hexagon

Problem

When generating a PDF for a file, such as a SmartSketch .igr file, you are not getting the expected output.

Possible cause

Check the Alternate rendition application parameters in SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client. If this entry specifies a custom initialization (.ini) file, the software uses the parameters in the INI file when generating the alternate rendition.

1. To find the Alternate rendition application parameters, click Find > Administration > File Type.

2. Type the file type; for example, .igr.

3. Right-click the file type and click Edit Relationships.

4. Click Maintain Attributes for the PDF object.

Solution

You have following options to generate the expected output.

1. Update the ini file with the parameters that correspond to your expected output.

2. Create and specify a different custom .ini file with parameters that correspond to your expected output.

3. Remove the -i parameter and path to the custom .ini file in the Alternate rendition application entry so that SmartPlant Foundation options are honored.
