To organize the items on a parent menu, use the following steps:

  1. Right-click the menu, and click Manage Menu Items on the shortcut menu.

    SHARED Tip See Manage related items for further details on how to use the Manage Related Items dialog box, which appears when you click Manage Menu Items.

    Menu items cannot exist without a menu, so they must be associated with a menu as they are created.

  2. To add a new item to the menu, click Create to display the New Menu Item dialog box (see Create a new menu item).

  3. To change the sequence of an item in the menu, select the item and use the and buttons to move the item.

  4. To delete an item from the menu, select the item, and click Remove Selected Item . This deletes the relationship between menu item and the menu.

    Once the relationship is removed, users must create a new menu item with a new name to relate to the menu.

  5. To add a separator after the item, click in the separator box, and select True.

  6. To display an icon next to the item, enter the icon file name (without the extension) in the adjacent Icon box.

  7. Click OK to save the changes.
