By default, the tree view displays name and description. You can toggle the display of the description with the Show description in tree user preference. See Change general user preferences for more information.
Sometimes there is a need for additional properties; this is configured by creating a column set and relating it to the class definition to be displayed. Create the relationship by dragging the column set onto the class definition.
For example, the SPFDocumentVersionTreeDisplay column set controls which properties are displayed in the tree view for documents. SPFDocumentVersionTreeDisplay is related to the design document version and template document version class definitions by the SPFClassDefDisplayColumnSet relationship definition. The following properties are included in the column set by default.
