Regenerate the component schema files

To publish data to the MTRPublishing domain, you need to regenerate the component schema files. When you regenerate these files, the SmartPlant Master Tag Registry integration schema information is added to the component schema files used by the authoring tools. For more information on the CMF file and component schema files, refer to the Integration Administrator's guide. The following procedure automates the process of regenerating component schema files, based on the current version of the integration schema file, by creating a scheduler task.

  1. In the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client, click Find > Integration > Schema Documents, and search for the schema document.

  2. Right-click the appropriate schema document, and click Regenerate Schema Files.

SHARED Tip To check the status of this task, click Query > Schedule Tasks, and find the task in the scheduler queue.

  • The published file scheduler must be enabled to regenerate the component schema files. To start the scheduler, click Find > Administration > Scheduler, right-click the published file scheduler, and click Scheduler > Start.

  • This task can run in the background while you proceed with other operations. Verify the task is completed before you publish or retrieve from an authoring tool.

  • When all the component schema files have been successfully recreated, the Generate Schema File scheduled task status is in the processed state.
