When the ENS definition has been configured, you can create multiple objects or documents using the ENS fields displayed in a dynamic Main details section in the create or copy forms. You enter the number of documents or objects you want to create in the following fields:

ENS Start Sequence - allows you to select the ENS number from which you want to start numbering.

Number to create - indicates the number of ENS numbers to create.

As you add the details in the create or copy form, the ENS definition identifiers are displayed in the dynamic section.

For example, the following image displays a configured ENS definition for the Create Data Book form. The first ENS item is configured with the Name property set as a Constant, two ENS items with Related Items set to different classification relationship definition UIDs, and the last ENS item with Function set to the ENS Sequence start number.

For more information on ENS items and defining an ENS definition, see Configure the ENS work process.

When you have completed the ENS object details in the create or copy form wizard, you can preview the sequence of any created ENS numbers in the ENS Summary page. For more information, see ENS preview summary.

  • If you creating more than one document, you cannot upload any file attachments in this process.

  • Only numbers are supported as pad characters for sequence type ENS items.
