Error

When clicking an object in a file viewed using the Smart Review application, the following error occurs:

"Required Scope is missing in the access token"

Causes and Solution

This issue may occur when the Smart Review application uses the Intergraph SmartĀ® API Manager (SAM) authentication to connect to the SmartPlant Foundation server. If you are an administrator, we recommend you follow the below instructions while configuring the API Services to use Intergraph Smart API Manager for Smart Review.

In the Smart API Manager,

  1. Register a user. For more information, see Register a new user.

  2. Add the user to the SPF External Identity authorized group of the registered SmartPlant Foundation server. For more information, see Add a user to a group.

In the Desktop Client,

  1. Create a user in SmartPlant Foundation using the same user name as the user added to the SPF External Identity authorized groups in the Smart API Manager.

  2. Assign roles with object properties viewing capabilities to the user, such as an engineer.

After completing the above steps, you must use the Smart API Manager (SAM) to register the Smart Review application. For more information, see Register Smart Review with Smart API Manager.
