Display items are used to present data or relationships on a form by assigning property attributes to the display items. Users can create new display items or re-use existing display items in the database using the Desktop Client. The options for each display item type vary according to the type of display item being created. You can also control the display items in combo boxes and the format of the display item type using a picture mask.

There can be minor differences in form sections and display items between forms created
for the Desktop Client and those created for the Web Client. This is to help maximize
performance in the Web Client, as well as to support responsive design and form configuration.
