You can change your password by:

  • Selecting Change Password , or selecting your [User Name] > Change Password . After entering your existing password, you can enter your new password.

  • By default, your password is updated in both the Web Client and the Desktop Client.

  • If you use a Single Sign-on cloud environment, you can change your password through an external change password provider, such as Okta. For more information, see the Change Password URL setting in Web Client Site Settings node. If no URL is set, the change password reverts to the default behavior.

  • If your system enforces the password policy, you must choose a strong, secure password when it is changed. This must be a minimum of 8 characters in length and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character. For more information, contact your system administrator.

  • Access to use the Change Password option is managed using the ChangeUserPassword method. This option is disabled by default in a system using IWA or when a system uses an external change password provider, such as Okta. However, if a change password URL is set in an IWA enabled system, the Change Password URL method behavior always takes precedence. For more information, see your system administrator.

Your account will be temporarily locked for a period of time after a number of failed log on attempts. For more information on unlocking your account, see Unlock a temporarily locked user or contact your system administrator.
