When a document has been checked out to edit the files, the check in allows you to copy the edited files from the local system back to the server for storage.

  1. Select the document version you want to check in, and click Actions > Check In.

  2. In the New Files pane, select the file system, such as Local File System.

  3. Click CHOOSE FILES, and select the files to be checked in from the list and its displayed reference documents.

You can only select a checked out document version to check in.

  4. Unselect Copy Markups if you do not want to attach markups on files in the previous working version to the updated files in the new working version.

  5. Click FINISH.

  • The modified file must be uploaded with its original object name. You can see the check in details in Object Details > History tab, which lists the object's history details, such as creation date.

  • When checking in master files, if the files referenced is attached to multiple documents, the information about the duplicate files is displayed in the Reference Files Details window.

  • When checking in, if the master file references files that do not exist in the database, the names of the missing reference files are displayed in the Reference Files Details window.
