SmartPlant Markup Plus Version
10.0 (2019)

The following applies to SmartPlant Markup Plus versions 2019 SP 1 or prior installations when integrated with SmartPlant Foundation Web Client or HxGN SDx environments.

You can make DOCM and PPTM file formats viewable in SmartPlant Markup Plus, SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant Foundation Web Client, and HxGN SDx as follows:

  1. On the SmartPlant Markup Plus server, open the BIPrint.ini file delivered to the [SPM Server installation location]\SmartPlant\Markup\Brava! Enterprise\CSFWriter\ folder using a text editor like Notepad.

If you are using a version prior to SmartPlant Markup Plus 2019 Service Pack 1, the folder is: [installation location]\SmartPlant\Markup\Blazon\Blazon Enterprise\CSFWriter.

  2. Add the DOCM and PPTM file extensions to the setting that is enabled,[SaveAsXPS] or [SaveAsPDF]. Which setting is enabled by default depends on which version of SmartPlant Markup Plus Server is installed. For versions 2019 Service Pack 1 and later, [SaveAsPDF] is the default. For versions prior to 2019 Service Pack 1, [SaveAsXPS] is the default.

If the file extension is added to both settings, [SaveAsXPS] will be used.

  3. Add the DOCM and PPTM file extensions to their respective lines in the [OTOfficeAPPImplemented] section.

  4. Save your changes.

  5. Open the autorecognizetests.txt file delivered to the [SPM Server installation location]\SmartPlant\Markup\Brava! Enterprise\JobProcessor\ folder using a text editor like Notepad.

  6. Uncomment the line beginning with pptm,-2 by removing the beginning //. For example:

    pptm,-2,-2,"",CT_default_ext

  7. Save your changes.

Before making the following changes, log on as the Windows user whose account is used to run the Job Processor service. The reason that you must do this is because the changes to Microsoft Office are saved per user profile.
