Press CTRL and select multiple labels. In the example below, three labels are selected (E 7436, E 3983, and E 325).

Press F8 to display the properties of the first label you selected. The first label (E 7436) in the select set remains highlighted.

Change the properties of the label. Select an object, and then click the drawing to place a copy of the first label with the new properties. In the following example, the new label is red and has a red outline.

Press F8 to highlight the second label in the select set.

Change the properties of the label. Select an object, and then click the drawing to place a copy of the second label with the new properties. In the following example, the new label (E 3983) is blue and has a blue outline.

Press F8 to highlight the third label in the select set. Change the text color to green, and apply a green border. Select an object and place a copy of the third label. The copied label remains highlighted until you exit the command.
