Weld Connections

For each weld that is added to the weld table, there is a respective connection key that specifies the connection of the weld. Use the following values:

Connection A - For welds on the riser lug.

Connection B - For welds on the shear lug.

You can add multiple welds to a single connection at different locations.

Weld Locations

Each connection has four predefined locations: 2, 4, 6, and 8. These locations are similar to cardinal points on a steel cross-section. The locations control the weld location in the Weld plane. You can also use the three offset rules to offset the weld from the predefined location.

The riser support has only one location, that is 2, for each connection A and B.

Locations for Connection A

Riser - Locations for Connection A

The weld is located at the center edge of the riser lug part.

Locations for Connection B

Riser - Location for Connection B

The weld is located at the edge of the shear lug and is specified using 2, 4, 6, and 8 depending on the location of the frame assembly.
