Port Alignment Per Specification

Users must create data based on their project requirements on Templates. Extract this data automatically from Smart 3D export jobs.

Weld Clearance Rule

This data is created on Templates. Extract this data automatically from Smart 3D export jobs.

Min Pipe Length Purchase Per Specification

Users must create data based on their project requirements on Templates. Extract this data automatically from Smart 3D export jobs.

Min Pipe Length Rule Per Specification

Users must create data based on their project requirements on Templates. Extract this data automatically from Smart 3D export jobs. You can also assign specification dependent geometric tables to respective specification Headers and export the data. Follow the below steps.

  1. SDB is delivered with below listed common specification dependent tables defined in the Other Spec Geometrics page.

    • SDB_TEMP_MINIMUMPIPELENGTHRULE_IN

    • SDB_TEMP_MINIMUMPIPELENGTHRULE_MM

  2. User shall define applicable values as per project requirements and assign the same to required Spec Header as User Defined table type.

    5

  3. In case of specification specific values, user can shall define geometric table with specification name prefixed to the table nomenclature as ““Spec_Code”_MINIMUMPIPELENGTHRULE_IN.

For example, For specification 1CA1S01 user must associate the Table with name “1CA1S01_MINIMUMPIPELENGTHRULE_IN”.

User must follow the above naming convention to export the data.

Pipe Takedown Parts

This data is created under Templates data for specifications. This is an optional Smart 3D rule where pipe takedown parts like flanges, clamps, and unions can be placed using the Insert Split command.

Materials Data

This data is created within the Templates; this data is required to calculate the piping wall thickness for piping specifications. SDB OOTB provided values are generic and SDB piping specifications are specific. It is recommended that users validate and add the required data based on their project requirements.
