You can log on to the SDB Merge Tool using your SRD user name and password.

The SDB Merge Tool Configurator utility configures the databases that will be used by the Merge Tool for comparison or merging. The Merge Tool then lists all the configured databases in the source and target list boxes.

The source and target database connection details must be configured by your administrator using the SDB Merge Tool Configurator utility to be able to connect using SDB Merge Tool.

Tool Location

SDB Merge Tool Configurator is delivered as part of SDB Merge Tool and is located at: <SDB Installation Location>\SDBMerge\SDBMergeToolConfigurator.exe.

Adding a DataConnection

  1. Click New Connection to add new database connection details.

  2. Provide the Connection Details and M_SYS Password.

    On successful authentication, the provided database connection is configured for use in SDB Merge Tool.

The SDB Merge Tool Configurator can also be used to edit, delete, or test the existing connection details configured for use with SDB Merge Tool.

You can provide connection details using the Easy Connect Naming Method or using TNS Names. If you are using TNS Names, ensure that the target database is configured with TNS Names in source database machine and vice versa.
