This directive allows the user to specify the value of the wind pressure to be used in the API-650 Section 3.11 stability computation.

The code suggests a value of 18 psf for cylindrical shapes, which is the default value of this directive. However, the code also states that for vertical plane surfaces a value of 30 psf (1.44 KPa) should be used. This directive allows the user to specify 30 psf (1.44 kPa) (or any other value) if necessary.

Additionally, if a value of 0.0 is specified, the computation routines will use the value of the wind pressure computed according to Section 3.9.7.1. This wind pressure is based on the user specified value of Wind Velocity.

This entry is adjusted by the current units system, so that users may specify this value in their preferred units.

In all cases, the velocity factor, (V/100)**2, is applied to the pressure value in computing the overturning moment. Note that the factor V/100 assumes V is in miles per hour. This is handled internally by the program, the user may specify the wind velocity in any units desired.
