Configure the AKMS connection in the j5 System Management Console (SMC). Completing the step is mandatory before AKMS content can be used anywhere in j5.
Creating the AKMS HTTPS Connection
j5 communicates with AKMS using a secure HTTPS connection. This connection is defined and managed centrally through the SMC.
-
Open the j5 System Management Console (SMC).
-
Go to HTTPS Connection Configuration.
-
Right-click the node and select New HTTPS Connection Configuration.
-
Provide a relevant name for the connection such as akms. This name is later referenced by the AKMS connection configuration.
-
Select the newly created configuration, and enter the required AKMS connection details:
-
Save the configuration, and then select Verify to confirm connectivity.
Configuring the AKMS Connection in j5
After the HTTPS connection is created, it must be linked as an AKMS connection.
-
In SMC, select AKMS Connection.
-
In the configuration field, enter the name of the HTTPS connection you created (akms).
-
Save and verify the configuration.
-
Deploy the saved configuration to activate it.
In AKMS, the parameter ActiveCompletionThreshold must be set to a value greater than 0. By default, the value is set to 0, which prevents the creation of completions via the API. When a completion is created, the system checks the number of existing active completions for that content. If the number exceeds the configured threshold, the API request will be rejected.
