Your isolation point registry is created and edited on the Isolation Point Registry Import configuration page.

To open this configuration page, select Configuration > CoW - Isolation Point Registry Import. The import and export records for the isolation point registry are displayed in the list view.

Edit isolation point registry

  1. Select Download Template to export the current isolation point registry from your j5 system. A spreadsheet template downloads to your computer.

  2. Open the Isolation Point Import Template.xlsx spreadsheet on your computer.

  3. Add, remove, and edit points in the registry and adjust their availability in the different operational areas. Take note of the following:

    • Each row defines one point and its operational area availability.

    • Operational areas are selected from option lists. The operational areas available in these lists are edited on the Operational Areas sheet.

    • If no operational areas are assigned to a point, the point will be available in all the operational areas.

    • On the Operational Areas sheet:

      • Each row is one operational area path. Operational area nodes in the path are separated with the > symbol (for example, Site > Section one > Area one).

      • The operational area nodes in each path need to match the operational area nodes on your j5 system exactly. If an operational area node doesn't match an existing operational area node on your j5 system, the import spreadsheet will fail to import.

For all of your configured operational area paths to appear in the option lists on the Isolation Points sheet, the option list source area may need to be adjusted when more operational area paths are added to the sheet.

    • All the columns are required except for the Default de-isolated state column. The Default de-isolated state will default to the opposite of the value in the Default isolated state column.

    • The Isolation Point Types tab is for reference only.

  4. Save your changes after updating the spreadsheet.

Import the isolation point registry

  1. Select Add

  2. Select the Add an attachment link in the Import File box, and then select Browse.

  3. Select the import template spreadsheet.

  4. If you want to delete the points you removed from the spreadsheet or you replaced an existing point with a new point name, select the Delete Points Not In File checkbox.

The points removed from the spreadsheet are only deleted when this checkbox is selected. This is to prevent points from being removed accidentally.

If you only want to delete the points (that have been removed from the spreadsheet) that were assigned areas defined on the Operational Areas sheet, select the Only Delete Points From Areas in the File checkbox. When this checkbox is selected, the other points removed (the points that weren't assigned areas from the Operational Areas sheet) will remain in the isolation point register on j5.

  5. To import the spreadsheet, select Save.

After the spreadsheet has been imported, the import record displays the number of points created, updated, and deleted, and the number of points that resulted in an error.

The status of the import record will be Error if any of the points fail to import. When there is an error, the Isolation Point Registry Import Errors tab will list the errors, and give the reason and location for each error.
