  1. Open the Operational Areas Import configuration page on the j5 web client.

  2. Select Download Template > EAM Template to download the current j5 operational area to EAM system mapping on your j5 system.

    • The EAM Template option only appears when an EAM connection has been configured with j5.

    • You can use the EAM Template or Standard Template to add j5 operational areas to your j5 system.

  3. Open the template file.

  4. Enter the EAM system IDs next to the relevant j5 operational areas.

    • Operational Area (Column A) - Displays all the operational area paths available on your j5 system.

    • EAM System (Column B) - Enter the EAM system IDs next to their relevant operational areas.

  5. Save your changes.

  6. Import the template. The j5 operational area to EAM system mapping is imported and available on your j5 system.

    How is the template imported?

    1. Select Add

    2. Select the Add an attachment link in the Import File box, and then select Browse.

    3. Select the import template spreadsheet.

    4. Select Save. The template is imported.

Naming conventions are different in EAM and j5, for example, "assets" in j5 are "positions" in EAM, "areas" in j5 are "systems" in EAM.
