The j5 Event Manager application provides a system that measures key operating variables in the plant processes against defined limits. When variables exceed these limits, the j5 Event Manager brings this to the operator's attention.
The j5 Event Manager application can watch process control tags, set limits on continuous-value tags, and determine which states of discrete-value tags constitute alarm. A j5 Operations Logbook entry is generated for every tag value that is out of range.
