  1. Select Add.

  2. Select the Add an attachment link in the Import File box, and then select Browse.

  3. Select the import template spreadsheet.

  4. If you want to delete the assets you removed from the spreadsheet or you replaced an existing asset with a new asset name, select the Delete Assets Not In File checkbox.

    • The assets removed from the spreadsheet are only deleted when this checkbox is selected. This is to prevent assets from being removed accidentally.

    • You can't remove your entire asset register using this method. The import file needs at least one asset configured.

  5. If you only want to delete the assets (that have been removed from the spreadsheet) that were assigned areas defined on the Operational Areas sheet, select the Only Delete Assets From Areas in the File checkbox. When this checkbox is selected, the other assets removed from the spreadsheet (the assets that weren't assigned areas from the Operational Areas sheet) will remain in the asset register on j5.

  6. To import the spreadsheet, select Save.

After the spreadsheet has been imported, the import record displays the number of assets created, updated, and deleted, and the number of assets that resulted in an error.

The import record's status will be Error if any of the assets fail to import. When there is an error, the Asset Import Errors tab will list the errors, and give the reason and location for each error.
