The Root Causes item on the Configuration menu allows users with the necessary rights to configure the possible root causes that can be identified for an incident (refer to figure Configuring Root Causes). Two levels of root causes can be created, and each cause can be assigned to a specific HSE Element.

Definition & Information

Description

A description of a root cause that can be identified for an incident.

Parent

Identifies the parent cause under which this cause is categorized.

HSE Element

The HSE Element that covers this root cause.
