To save on screen space, a field can be set to appear only when a particular condition is satisfied. For example, if a data reading exceeds a limit, a text field can appear so a reason for the reading can be given. The condition is set in the Visible If field on the Properties pane under the Value heading.
An example of the Visible if functionality (referring to the image above):

The plan number field has been configured to be hidden when the N/A option is chosen.
