The first setup screen is for the general j5 Maximo settings.

Disable Maximo interface - Select this checkbox if the Maximo interface isn't required or if it will be configured later.

SOAP Username and Password - These are required for the SOAP interface between j5 and Maximo. j5 uses these credentials to authenticate with Maximo when calling Maximo's exposed web services. These credentials are encrypted within the j5 configuration.
You can configure the Maximo server with a trusted connection. If this is the case,
the SOAP username and password aren't used and you can enter a fake username and password
to proceed with setup.

Number of records to fetch in a batch for full sync - j5 controls the memory usage and load on the Maximo server by querying and processing the Maximo data in batches for a full synchronization. This setting sets the size of each batch that j5 processes.
If this setting is set is too high, the individual SOAP requests will time out and
the sync will fail. A SOAP time out is dependent on the number of records it is retrieving
and the performance of the Maximo instance. If the setting is too small, the initial
sync might take longer than expected to run. You might need to adjust this value,
but j5 recommends an initial value of 100.

Date format for SOAP requests - Adjust the date format so that it matches the date format you use on your Maximo site. This is used when querying Maximo for incremental changes. For example, if the last successful synchronization was at 2023-09-01 08:30, and the changed date field in Maximo is set to "CHANGEDATE", j5 looks for "CHANGEDATE > 2023-09-01 08:30".

The incremental synchronization can't identify the entries that were deleted in Maximo. This is only handled by the full synchronization which is necessary if Maximo data is removed. When an asset isn't needed in Maximo, the common practice is to mark the equipment as DISABLED instead of removing it from the system. In this case, the equipment is marked as disabled in the j5 Asset Register through the incremental synchronization.

Is Oracle DB? - Select this checkbox if your Maximo installation uses an Oracle database.

List of sites - Enter the SITEIDs of the Maximo sites you want to synchronize with the j5 Maximo interface. Multiple SITEIDs can be provided as a comma-separated list.

Custom Maximo Plugin - Enter the import path of the customization module if you have customized your j5 Maximo interface for your installation.

Certificate Bundle Filename - If your SOAP connection uses HTTPS (recommended for security) and has a custom certificate chain (issued within your organization rather than part of the public trust network), you can use this setting to supply the required certificates. Navigate to the SSL certificate chain for j5 to connect to SOAP using HTTPS or enter the path to the file's location. Refer to Certificate bundle configuration for more information.

Timeout - Determines how long (in seconds) j5 should allow for a response from Maximo before timing out.
After entering your data, select Next. The setup process validates the entered SOAP Username and SOAP Password.
