A section can be made inactive when its associated equipment item is not available (for example, when it is offline or in maintenance). Active status of a section can be changed in the section heading row or in the section Info screen.
By default, input fields are inactive when their section is inactive, but input fields can be configured to be always active even when their section is inactive.
Alternatively, each asset can have custom states. This allows for more information to be gathered about each asset other than it just being active or inactive (when required). For details on configuring asset states, refer to Asset state sets.
