Task groups and tasks can be linked to assets in the tasks spreadsheet or in the j5 Asset Register.
When assets are linked to a tasks group, the Data points created by each task in the task group are linked to the asset.
To link an asset to a task group:

Find the ID of the asset you want to link in the asset register.

Add the following text (including the colon) after the name of the task group you want to link the asset to.
: #j5.Asset: assetID
where assetID is the ID of the asset you want to link. Refer to the image below to see linked asset examples.
Notice that
: #j5.Asset: 101-UA-151 was added after the Compressor task group label and
: #j5.Asset: 101-UA-153 was added after the Pressure task group label.

Upload the tasks spreadsheet. The task groups (and their tasks) that had the link asset configuration (as above) are linked to their associated assets.
To navigate to the task group by scanning the linked asset's barcode, ensure that the asset has a barcode tag configured in the asset register.
