Create and configure the application to allow SharePoint® or Office 365 SharePoint®, when using a username and password, to synchronize copies of published content.

Before you begin

  • You must be an Administrator.

  • Published content synchronization must be enabled by AcceleratorKMS.

About this task

Use the following setup process when using a SharePoint® library as the external storage library. This procedure applies to on-premises SharePoint® or Office 365 SharePoint® when using a local username and password. For the procedure for online token authentication, see Configuring synchronization to Office 365® SharePoint® using token authentication.

Procedure

  1. Create or designate a SharePoint® site to store the PDF versions of published content.

  2. Navigate to the new or designated SharePoint® site and create a new document library, using the following specifications.

  3. Complete the following access list to secure the document library.

    Define the SharePoint domain user account in AcceleratorKMS. On the menu bar, click the gear icon > Configuration.

    Read access

    Define the user group that require access to view content.

    Design/admin access

    Identify SharePoint site owner/administrator.

  4. Add a column to the document library with the following specifications.

    Create an index to the ProcedureID column using the following steps:

  5. On the menu bar, click the gear icon > Library Settings.

    1. Navigate to Columns section, click Indexed Columns.

    2. Click Create a new index.

      SHARED Tip The Indexed Columns page opens.

    3. Click Create.

      SHARED Tip This may take some time to finish processing.

  6. Create an expanded view for the library with no folders (required for content link navigation and filtering).

  7. Log in to AcceleratorKMS as an Administrator.

  8. On the menu bar, click the gear icon > Configuration.

  9. Navigate to the Export section, and add values for the following keys.

    Specify a message to identify an uncontrolled printed copy. Enter a value of {0} to print current date and time, {0:d} to print only the date. For example, Hard copy printed on {0}. Copy is valid for the date printed.

    OutputStoreBaseURL

    Specify a base URL value. For example, http://192.168.36.36

    OutputStoreControlMessageTemplate

    Specify a message and the date value for a copy generated to designated output store. Enter a value of {0} to print current date and time, {0:d} to print only the date. For example, Copy generated on {0}.

    SharePointLibraryName

    Specify internal name where published content output is saved.

    SharePointLibraryTitle

    Specify the display title where content output is saved.

    SharePointSelector

    From the drop-down list, specify one of the following:

    SharePoint for on-premise configuration

    SharePointOnline for Office 365 SharePoint configuration

    SharePointSitePath

    Specify the URL path to the SharePoint site where published content output is saved. For example, http://192.168.36.53/Sites/PA/Sub1

    SharePointUserName

    Specify domain followed by SharePoint user account name. For example, LAB\spadmin

    SharePointUserPassword

    Specify SharePoint user account password for preceding user account name.

    SyncProcedureOutputJobEnabled

    Specify yes to save published content to designated output store.

    WebApplicationUrl

    Specify web URL address to the application. For example, https://ade.AcceleratorKMS.com

    WebRootDirectory

    Specify the server file system directory for the web application

  10. Click Save.

Results

Content synchronization is complete for SharePoint®.
