Creating a chamfer symbol requires geometry for both the part to be chamfered and the opposite connected part.
In this example, a single-sided offset face chamfer is created.
-
Click Tools > Layers to display the Layer toolbar.
-
Click Change Layer .
-
On the dialog box, select the Inputs layer, and click OK.
-
Sketch a line to represent the offset face of the opposite part, and sketch two lines to represent the edge and offset face of the part.
-
Lock all bounding part geometry using Lock .
-
Do not connect the lines.
-
Do not use horizontal and vertical constraints. These constraints will keep the chamfer from adjusting properly.
