Setting up project-based configurations - Intergraph Smart Licensing - Version 14.2 - Help - Hexagon

An IT or licensing administrator sets up configurations in the Licensing Portal.

Client users load configurations in Smart Licensing Client. Both site-based and project-based configurations are loaded in the same way. For more information, see the Smart Licensing Client documentation.

Project-based configurations are not supported when setting up licensing for SmartPlant Foundation.

1. Create keystores.

   • Clear the Create with site-based default configuration option for each keystore.

2. Create projects.

   • Add custom fields to the projects as needed.

3. Create a configuration.

   • Associate projects to the configuration, and specify the keystores for each project.

   It might help to draw a picture of the configuration with projects and keystores.

4. Download the CCI file, and distribute it to licensing clients.

You can generate the keys for the keystores before or after downloading the CCI file. The more common situation is to generate the keys before downloading the CCI file. However, you might want to pre-configure the computers and then generate the keys once the projects actually start. In this case, you would generate the keys after downloading and distributing the CCI file.
