Insert > Topological Points creates associative points directly in the graphic view. The points parametrically constrain objects that use them. These points are most commonly used with the Plane by Three Points plane method used in many commands.
This command opens the Point Palette dialog and contains the following options:
Creates a point at the defined X, Y, and Z coordinates of the selected coordinate system. |
Creates a point at defined distances from the faces of two plate, profile, or member systems. |
Point at Offset from Key Point Creates a point using a cross-section key point as a reference. |
Creates a point along a curve relative to the selected coordinate system. |
Creates a point at the middle of a curve. |
