Details

  • The Area Authority and the Issuing Authority verifies that the existing details are accurate and that all the required information is clear.

  • When applicable, the Gas Tester enters the initial gas test results.

Actions

  • Select Revert to preparing - If the permit details need to be revised or if the work can't be completed in the planned timeline (for example, a necessary item for the work needs to be ordered).

    • User permission: Area Authority

    • State change: Approved > Drafting

    • The approval data and gas test results (hot work permits) are cleared.

  • Select Initial Gas Test - If the hot work permit requires gas testing, the initial gas test results need to be entered before the permit can be issued.

    • User permission: Gas Tester

    • The Initial Gas Test window appears. Enter the test details, sign, and select Confirm.

    • No state change. The permit is still Approved.

  • Select Issue - When the validity period has started, and all the isolations are in place and the certificates have been issued.

    • User permission: Issuing Authority

    • The Issue window appears. Confirm that the isolations are in place and the certificates have been issued, set the Work Allowed Until date, sign, and select Issue.

      • The Work Allowed Until date can't be more than 12 hours (default) after the current time and must be before or equal to the Valid Until date.

      • The default maximum duration can be edited on the CoW - Permit Types configuration page.

    • State change: Approved > Issued

  • Select Cancel - If the work shouldn't be completed or if there's already another permit that addresses the work.

    • User permission: Area Authority

    • The Cancellation confirmation window appears. Confirm that you want to cancel the permit and select Cancel Permit.

    • State change: Approved > Cancelled

Time trigger

  • If the Valid Until date is past while the permit is in the Approved state.

    • State change: Approved > Requested
