Translate to SmartPlant Foundation Workflow - Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher - Help

The steps below show the workflow in using Smart Interop Publisher to translate models and drawings so they can be accessed from SmartPlant Foundation.

Smart Drawings

Smart Models

1. (First-time Startup Only) Follow the prompts to create a site database and connect it to your SQL Server instance.

   Configure a site database

2. Create your Smart Interop Publisher project.
   -OR-
   Use the default project ([site database name]_General) provided with Smart Interop Publisher.

   Create a project

3. Register your project to SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) to publish data to SmartPlant Foundation.

   Register with SmartPlant

4. (Optional) Define configuration and translation settings for each source file type you are using.

   Configure Mapping to Control Model Display

5. Add your source files.

   Add 3D model source files

   Add drawing source files

6. Translate source files.

   Translate to Smart Models

   Translate to Smart Drawings

7. (Optional) Edit Smart Model properties such as the file location and transformation settings.

   Move, Rotate, and Scale (Transform) Smart Models

   Manage Smart Models from the grid

8. Access the Smart Model or Smart Drawing in SmartPlant Foundation.
