A user is regarded as a super user if he has logged on with the role that has been defined by the SUPER_USER_ROLE DBA setting. The SUPER_USER DBA setting defines the super user who will receive emails when requests for new users or additional rights are submitted on the log on screen or on screen A.20.06.21. Values for this DBA setting are only valid if the user entered can work with the role that has been defined by the SUPER_USER_ROLE DBA setting.
The functions controlled by the super user role are listed below.
Logon
If the New User button was used on the logon screen, all required data for the new user entered, and this request submitted using the Submit button, the super user will get an email notifying about this request and to call screen A.60.01.01 to create the new user.
A.20.01.01 Product Group Infos
The super user can check the product group password with a right mouse-click on the Product Group field. For more information, see Product Group Information.
A.20.01.02 Project Information
The super user can check the product group password with a right mouse-click on the Project field. For more information, see Project Information.
A.20.06.21 Request for Rights
The super user can query the open requests for all users. After selecting the access rights, queryable disciplines, and privileges he wants to grant, he clicks the Grant button to grant the rights and to generate the corresponding entries on screens A.20.06... (see Request for Rights).
A.60.01.01 Create User
When creating a new user, only the super user can set the Email field. For more information, see Create User.

The super user can query and update the user preferences for all users. For more information, see User Preferences.
A.60.82 Database Sessions
The super user can show the SQL text of a database session with a right mouse-click on the SID field. For more information, see Database Sessions Monitoring.
