Move an object from its origin

Move an object AGIF

  1. Selectthe equipment to move. The equipment highlights and the Modify Equipment Controls display.

  2. Click Move Com_Move ICON. The Position and Orientation controls display, the location triad displays at the equipment origin, and the equipment displays in dynamics.

  3. If necessary, select a Working Plane from the list.

  4. Click to place the object in its new location.

  5. Complete the move by doing one of the following:

    Click Finish (CTRL + ENTER) to save your changes and exit the command.

    Click Modify Finish Modify ICON (SHIFT + ENTER) to save your changes and then start the modification of that object.

Move an object from a point other than its origin AGIF

  1. Selectthe equipment to move.

    The equipment highlights and Modify Equipment Controls displays.

  2. Click Move Com_Move ICON.

    The Position and Orientation controls display, the location triad displays at the equipment origin, and the equipment displays in dynamics.

  3. If necessary, set the Working Plane to something other than No Plane to force the move to remain on that plane.

  4. Click Move From S3D_Point_Start ICON (CTRL + T). You can also click the yellow sphere on the location triad to activate Move From S3D_Point_Start ICON.

  5. Drag the location triad to the new start position, and click to confirm the location.

    The equipment displays in dynamics and moves with the cursor.

  6. Click to define the new equipment location.

  7. Complete the move by doing one of the following:

    Click Finish (CTRL + ENTER) to save your changes and exit the command.

    Click Modify Finish Modify ICON (SHIFT + ENTER) to save your changes and then start the modification of that object.
