This animation hides the dimension and length labels. You can show or hide these labels on selected objects in your model using the ALT+D graphic view Keyboard Shortcuts.
-
The Modify Volume By Points Controls enable you to modify a volume that was placed using one of the following Space Management Tab > Volumes commands:
-
The example in this procedure uses a volume placed using the Two Points Command .
-
Select an existing volume in the graphic view or from a Space Folder in the Space Hierarchy Explorer to open the Modify Volume By Points Controls.
-
Click Volume Manipulator to display handles, dimensions, and the association status on the selected volume.
-
Because the selected volume was placed without using Assoc Enabled , each point that defines the volume shows that the association is not enabled. If you place a volume using Assoc Enabled , you need to break the association for each point that defines the volume before modifying it.
-
You can define the dimensions for the modified volume using the Modify Volume By Points Controls, or type the values in the dimension text boxes in the graphic view.
-
-
Click the handle that corresponds to the part of the volume to manipulate.
The handle displays in a magenta color, and the corresponding volume face highlights. The volume face is dynamically attached to your cursor.
-
Drag the handle to the new position. The handle being moved in this example is circled in magenta, below.
-
Click to release the handle.
The software displays a green wireframe around the modified volume, and the handle is no longer attached to the cursor.
-
Complete the placement:
-
Select Finish (CTRL + ENTER) to save your changes and exit the command.
-
Select Finish and Modify (CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER) to save your changes and then start the modification of that object.
