The Attributes tab contains settings for inserting information to the Cutting database fields. You can add text information to DXF/DWG files, which the software saves to the different Smart Production Cutting database fields. For example, you can add the geometry drawing name to the DXF/DWG file to automatically save the geometry to the database. You can also use the DXF/DWG file to insert information in the database.
Configuring the import set to use attributes requires knowledge about the Smart Production Cutting database structure. We recommend that you contact customer support for further information.
Selected Rule
Enables you to add new attributes.
Search tag
Specifies where the information to insert is located. Type the tag name in the text box. The import process uses this tag, and searches for it in the file to import. For example, if you type [D] in the Search tag box, the software searches for a text object inside the DXF/DWG file that starts with [D], and inserts the text after the tag in the defined database field.
Click the arrow beside the text box to display more options, as shown below.
Filename
Inserts the DXF/DWG file name into a database field.
Path/Filename
Inserts the DXF/DWG file name and path into a database field.
Filename (no extension)
Inserts the DXF/DWG file name with no extension into a database field.
No search text
Obtains information another way, typically by using macros.
Block tag
This option is unavailable.
Database field
Specifies the database field where the information is added. Click the field and select a database from the list, as shown below.
Parsing type
Contains options that define how the software parses characters.
All after tag
Inserts every character after the tag in the database field.
Word after tag
Inserts the first word after the tag in the database field.
Macro
Enables you to write a macro in the Macro text box. This allows complex parsing of the characters.
