Objects that contain any machining mode other than information need to be profiled for nesting. Profiling prepares single elements, joining them where appropriate, and adding start and end marks. Profiling also performs parameter checks and alerts you to any basic cutting elements with open contours or overlaps.
The Make profiles and Explode profile commands are shown below.
The example below contains two lines. The first line is profiled, indicated by the start and end mark. The second line is an element, and does not have a start and end mark.
Explode profile removes the profile status. The profile elements remained joined in the polyline. You can explode the polyline into base elements (lines and arcs) if necessary.
