LoadDocuments_NewImportJobsPrerequisites:

  1. User should have an active web server with the required files uploaded.

  2. Update the project default ZI_WEB_DOC value with the server name.

  3. Add server name in DBA setting ATTACHMENT_ALLOWED_URLS.

  4. Fill the required details in the Load Documents sample template file. For the file name enter the name of the file in the webserver that is to be accessed.

Loading a new document file

  1. On the Home page, select Other Tasks > Load Documents.

  2. To load documents, select New Import Job.

  3. In the Job Information section, type a unique name in the Job Code box.

    Depending on the status of the requisition import job, the Job Status will automatically show as New, Error or Ready.

  4. Optionally, you can enter a comment on the import job in the User Comment box.

  5. In the Import File section, select the Browse button to select the appropriate load documents template file from the DB server that is to be uploaded to the web server for the import job.

    • The extension of the file must be .txt.

    • The Import Path is where the file is stored and is relative to the database server.

  6. Select Save and then Start Job.

  • In the Job Execution Statistics section, all information relating to Job Started By, Start Date, End Date, Execution Summary and Log file are automatically populated.

  • To view the internal log file created for online jobs, select the View Online Log button.

  • To view the error log file created by online jobs, select the View Error Log button.

Viewing a document uploaded using Load Documents

  1. If there are no errors and the job status is Ready, from the Home page, select Other Tasks > Documents.

  2. Select the hyperlink for the document you want to open under Display File Name.

  3. On selecting OK for the confirmation to navigate to an external site, the file opens in a new window.
