You can create new column items to include custom properties for objects when displayed in the results grid. To create a column set item:

  1. Select the Business Administration feature set, and click Create Column Item.

  2. In the New Column Item form, enter a name and description for the column item based on the column item type required.

  3. Enter the details and information in the Column item details as required. For example, you can add the UID ot the property definition.

    The following properties are required for creating or managing related items.

    Description

    Edge definition

    The relationship or edge to be navigated. This is an optional property.

    SHARED Tip Ensure you use the edge definition for all column items that have the same relationship definition path.

    Property definition UID

    The UID of the property definition that the column item will display.

    Property edge Alias

    Alias used for the relationship between the property definition and the edge definition. This property is used for reporting and is not required for regular column items.

    Dynamic item

    Select this option when the column item is created from a relationship definition or property definition which is expanded from a linked interface.

    Graph edge name

    The name of the Graph edge definition the column item will display. This property is used for reporting and is not required for regular column items.

    Dynamic form section

    The form section dynamically generated from the column items configured for the object.

    Column item phase

    The phase to which this column item belongs.

    Display item help text

    The text that appears when the cursor pauses over the column item.

    Dynamic form sequence

    The unique sequence number to control the display order on dynamic forms.

  • Some options are mutually exclusive to the form.

  • You select a column set and use the Manage column items command to configure new column items. For more information, see Manage related items.
