You can configure the automatic sorting of column item properties into a selected order when they are displayed in the results grid using the Manage Column Items command.
The two property options available for automatic sorting are:

Sort Sequence - determines the numerical priority order of the column items to sort on.

Sort Order - determines whether the column items are sorted in ascending or descending order.
For example, to sort the sequence for a class definition by name first and then sort by ascending order:

Set the Sort Sequence property for the Name column item to 1.
Add numbers to other column items so they display in a set numerical order, as required.

Set the Sort Order column item to Ascending.
