Error Message
When updating a site in Server Manager after upgrading SmartPlant Foundation, the following error message displays:
Unable to update the site due to: Access to the path sqlceme40.dll is denied
Problem
This problem is because the SmartPlant Foundation configuration service application pools are still running, which blocks access to the relevant file to update the site.
Solution
You must stop the application pools using Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager before updating any sites. Ensure the application pools are restarted after the update.
Alternatively, run an IISReset before any upgrade.
