Before you start this procedure, ensure that you have an Internet connection and a valid Intergraph customer user name and password.

Smart Instrumentation is only capable of handling the following I/O types that Honeywell Experion PKS supports:

PMIO.
-
Series C IO.
-
Safety Manager IO (SM).

Fail Safe Controller IO (FSC).

In any Smart Instrumentation module, select Tools > Interfaces > Honeywell.

On the Honeywell Interface dialog box, select Retrieve Honeywell definitions.

Select OK.

On the Retrieve Honeywell Definitions dialog box, click Browse, navigate to the folder where you unzipped the files that you downloaded.

Select OK.
If you have not already downloaded the definitions, click Download, fill in the relevant information, and then download the definitions to the required
folder. For more information, contact Intergraph support.

In the data window, under Select, select the documents that you want to retrieve in Smart Instrumentation, and select OK.

When done, select Close.
When retrieving Honeywell definitions Experion PKS , the software automatically adds
new definitions and updates any modifications to definitions that already exist in
the Smart Instrumentation database. However, you must delete any redundant definitions manually from the Reference Explorer.
