This option enables you to view the channels of a selected DCS/PLC panel or all DCS/PLC panels in the current <plant>. You can also modify the control system tag names if required.

In the I/O Assignment window, select Actions > Show I/O Data .

To rename a control system tag, do the following:

Select the required row and select Edit CS Tag.

On the Control System Tag dialog, type a new name as needed and select OK.

To filter the display of data on the I/O Data dialog, do the following:

Select Filter to open the Filter I/O Data dialog.

In any data field, type the value according which to filter the channels on the I/O Data dialog.
Note that you can include any letter or number combination. You can include letter or number combinations, as well as wildcards. For example, an underscore (_) can substitute a single character and percent (%) can substitute multiple characters. The search is not case-sensitive. -
From the drop-down lists, select a value according which to filter the channels on the I/O Data dialog.

In the Show channels group box, choose a filtering option to determine which channels to display on the I/O Data dialog.

Select the Save check box to save the criteria specified for the next time you open the I/O Data dialog.

Select OK to accept your filter settings and return to the I/O Data dialog.

To sort the displayed channels on the I/O Data dialog, do the following:

Select Sort to open the Sort I/O Data dialog.

In the Column Name list, select the column according which the channels displayed on the I/O Data dialog will be sorted.

Select Ascending to sort the channels displayed on the I/O Data dialog in ascending order; clear the check box to sort the channels in descending order.

To add a new sorting parameter, select an existing sorting parameter after which you want to add the new sorting parameter and then select Insert.

To delete a sorting parameter, select the required sorting parameter and select Delete.

Select Clear to discard all the sorting settings.

Select the Save check box if you want to save the current settings for the next time you open the I/O Data dialog. Note that deleting or clearing parameters does not affect the sorting parameters that you have previously saved (by selecting the Save check box).

Select OK to accept your settings and return to the I/O Data dialog.

To print out the data on the I/O Data dialog, select Report.

Select Close to return to the I/O Assignment window.
If you open the I/O Assignment window without selecting anything in the Domain Explorer, the I/O Data dialog shows the control system tags of the DCS/PLC cabinet you selected the last time you opened the I/O Assignment window.
