You use the options in this dialog to customize the contents of the Typical Instrument list in the Preventive Maintenance Activities dialog, Repair Form window, and Work Request window.
Typical instrument classification is useful for report generation and other statistics. Work request reasons can also be associated with a specific typical instrument.
You open this dialog from the main window of the Maintenance module — Maintenance Activities Summary. Select Tables > Typical Instruments.
Find instrument
Use this field to find a record in the data window. Type the item you want to find and the software selects the record in the data window below.
Data Window
The editable data window displays the existing typical instrument names and their descriptions. Select a value that you want to edit, or select New to add a new data row.
Instrument Name
Type the required name of the typical instrument.
Description
Type an appropriate description of the typical instrument.
New
Inserts a new row where you can type the required values.
Delete
Deletes the selected row.
