Wiring items that have been created according to naming conventions sometimes may have trailing separators. This happens when the last naming convention segment is not defined and there is no value for it. You can instruct the software to remove the trailing separators automatically when creating wiring items.

Select File > Preferences.

On the Preferences dialog, under Wiring, select Custom.

In the Custom features for the Wiring module group box, under Parameter, type Remove Trailing Separator.

Under Value, type Y.
The default setting is N which instructs the software not to remove the trailing separators.
